Dear Bergeman san, Hello.

I met with Katsuaki san just now in my office in Tokyo. Thank you for your regards to me. I have been schocked and am now very much concerned about the serious matter that is happening in North Japan and being reported all over the world now.

Luckly, my colleagues and my family did not suffer any big damage by the earthquake, tsunami and atomic power plants problem because we are in Tokyo, relatively far away from the area hit by tsunami and the power plants. Also all of members of Kita-Kyushu Academy Childrens Choir are OK, because they are 1000km west from Tokyo. And most of all your friends in Nishinomiya, Osaka-Shimuzudani HS, Kasukabe and Komae (Tokyo) are also OK.

Unfortunately, however, many of my choir friends in North Japan seems to have been affected by the earthquakes and the tsunami. I still cannot contact many of them at this moment. I do really hope they are alive. I am very sad and feeling despair like the victims, but I think we, who are alive now ,should try to encourage the peoplr in Nort Japan, and we all of Japanese have to do our best to start re-building North Japan from now. I got many massages from overseas friends and they did certainly encourage us and give us strength, such support is essential especially now and I appreciate very much.

We will keep helping people in North Japan as we dream that people in North Japan are singing together with big smile again. Let's play together with you in the future again. I beleive all of members in Kita-Kyushu Academy Childrens Choir will bring strong message that we Japanese will stand up again, and also bring for thankness of the cooperation by many countries for us. Please tell our best regards to all of your choir members. I will appreciate if you will inform final schedule and host family list fo Kita-Kyushu Academi childrens choi soon. Sincerely yours, KAKI
